calpol in hand luggage

Hello

We (OH, me, DS 2.5 years, DD 11months) are flying to New Zealand next week.

I want to take calpol in hand luggage for possible sore ears. I have checked all the info and it seems that I need prior approval and a doctor's certificate.

Has anyone had experience of taking calpol on a flight and how did you go about it?

I used the 5ml sachets, so its less than 100mls.

Yes do that. You need to have a doctors letter only if you want to take more than 100mls in one bottle. So you can take 10 bottles with less than 100mls in each if you want. I took medised in case I needed to knock my two girls out on the way to Australia....in my defence I was going the whole flight by myself with a 5 and 2 year old. Anyway I didn't need any but I did lend it to another mother who was having a nightmare with her toddler. She almost passed out with joy.

Sachets, definitely.

I had two 80ml bottles in my handluggage. I needed to buy two plastic bags to put them in.
To be on the safe side, I would take sachets too.
