Brittany Ferries cots & cabins

On Wednesday we are doing the Portsmouth-Santander route with our 14 month old.
We've booked an outside 'large 2/4 berth' cabin with a cot.
Thing is, I've heard the Brittany Ferries cots aren't too nice, and we're actually taking our travel cot with us anyway. Are the Brittany Ferries cots that bad - should we take the travel cot up to the cabin with us. Not sure whether it will fit between the beds in the cabin either, whereas the Brittany Ferries one will (according to the website they fit any cabin).

Any tips for the crossing?

Re seasickness, I know it can be an issue on this route, but I've never suffered from seasickness so hoping not! I'm BFing so can't take any medicine for it, any tips. Can toddlers get seasick??

I was told that ordinary travel cots are too wide to fit between berths. You are right though, theirs they aren't that nice but fine for a night, DS slept pretty well in one a couple of years ago.

Take a homeopathic travel remedy if you're worried about seasickness, and give some to your DS. The travel advice I tend to follow is hope for the best, plan for the worst! So take spare clothes etc just in case.

Thanks castille, we'll leave the travel cot in the car then. I have no confidence any of us will get a great nights sleep anyway as I think DD will want to play with us all in the cabin - or I can see DD bedding in with me and her getting some great sleep and me none - but its only one night.
