Londoners, where to entertain dd

I'm taking dd to London next Saturday. We're getting the train to Waterloo. My sil will be arriving in St Pancras. We'll just be spending a few hours together (I hope ) Any suggestions where we can go? Play park perhaps and lunch time eatery that is child friendly for my lively dd and decidedly child unfriendly sil please?

Just to add, i'm happy to go anywhere, it doesn't have to be central to those stations. Afterwards, we will be going to stay in Islington.

If you are in the waterloo area the south bank is always lively at the weekends. You didn't say how old your DD is, but there is the london eye, which is fun and there is a carosel and plenty of street entertainment. In the royal festival hall there is a strada, wagamama and giraffe - all really child friendly. Hope you have fun!

Try Coram Fields- Children's park, or regents park has some nice playgrounds and not too far.

Thank you for the suggestions, Coram Fields looks good. I'm just wondering if there are any places to go that are inside, just incase the weather is awful, I have another option?! thanks

we enjoyed the transport museum in covent garden, lovely shops and restaurants in same area. they also have loads of act around the piazza.we took dd when she was 4 and didnt really expect her to like it but she did, lovely cafe in there aswell.
natural history is always a winner then you can pop down to knightsbridge for a browse.
the Tate is also fab,and free.

The London aquarium is good for LO's and adults alike. So is Hyde Park, lots to see and do.
