Disneyland Paris Food costs

Have read through a few posts and can't find an answer on this one - sorry if its a repeat!

Everywhere I look on the internet the reviews say how expensive the food is. However I seem to remember someone saying out of the Disney area there is a shopping mall that is much cheaper to eat at. Is it worth making the trip there or are we better just paying the disney prices. Just booked today so trying to work out what to budget for the trip....

Many thanks.

Prices are ok if you watch where you are eating.

For instance there is a restaurant in the castle where the Princesses wander around, you can get the DC's photos taken with them. It was mega expensive.

Just around the corner is a pizza/pasta fast food that costs just a fraction.

The village is not far away but there are cheaper options in the park so it is not really worth going out and in.

There is a really good website, will see if I can find it for you, all about the park and the restaurants etc.

here

We ate at Annette's Diner the first day. Was ok, burgers etc.

The second day we had pizza/pasta at Bella Notte, very cheap and no chips for a change.

Third day we went to Restaurant des Stars in the Movie Park, Ratatouille themed, buffet meal that was not expensive.

In the evenings we had a snack in the sandwich bar in the Village.

if you go to the disney village, which is next to the train station/entrance to both parks, the food is much cheaper for similar e.g. burger and chips at macdonalds is much cheaper than a burger and chips inside the park.

I guess it depends on the age and tastes of your kids. My kids were small, age 3 and 4 and not exactly fussy, but they found it hard in the buffet style restaurants. I thought it was fine for me having a bit of this and a bit of that, but I thought we paid a lot of money for them to eat and then they basically ate nothing iyswim.

TBH it seems to be part of the deal that you will pay alot for food and if you accept that and budget for it, it's fine!!

We paid for the half board meal tickets from travel agent which meant that one meal a day was paid for, which helped us to save on spending money as we had already paid for them.

Just been and I thought the food prices were astronomical and the food OK, but far from great. Would echo the McDonalds in the Village.

We were lucky enough to be staying with friends, so went to the supermarket in the shopping mall. There is also an aquarium there if you want a less Disney day (E10-15). There's also a pharmacy, swanky clothes shops etc. It's one stop on the train from Disney or you can get the bus (I think the number 34 goes, but train quicker).

Also take snacks and drinks in, they really don't check your bags that much. Have fun. Also if your children are girls and like princesses, take a princess dress with you as they are E60-90 there and £16 in ELC.

The euro/pound exchange rate is a real killer.
