Thorpe Park - Saw Alive

Went to Thorpe Park yesterday with my friend and our children and children's friends (my DD aged 8 and the boys aged 13 - 4 of them).

My son, his two friends and I went into Saw Alive. It does say that it is not for the feint hearted but it was the most terrifying experience of my life.

I felt I was starring in my own version of the film, Saw. You walk in a line, one behind the other, with your hands on the shoulders of the person in front of you.

There are live actors in darkened rooms, with strobe lighting and they whimper, scream, asking for help. They also try to touch you.

I was at the back of the line of 8 and it was horrific. By the time we left the first room (I think there are 6 altogether), I was crying and screaming. I then became hysterical, couldn't breathe, felt sick and faint. I had my eyes closed because the rooms were so scary but every time I touched a wall, I was screaming. In the end one of the 'actors' realised I was really losing the plot, came up to escort me out and asked me to open my eyes. Because she was one of the actors, she had very realistic make-up on and I collapsed to the floor screaming. I was petrified. Eventually she led me out and my friend, who was waiting outside with my daughter and her son, thought I was putting on an act as some people came out saying it wasn't scary and other people were saying it was scary.

Once I was outside, I collapsed on the floor and was shaking all over.

Two paramedics were called to check me over but I was only in shock.

I would not recommend this ride, it was the most petrifying episode in my life.

We went to Thorpe Park today, but I didn't take dd's in as recommended age is 12, and dd is only 8 and scares quite easily. we have merlin passes so I was thinking about going back with a friend to do the saw maze, but might not now.
