West Midlands Safari Park website - has opening times and directions on how to get there.
It's been a long time since I went so can't tell you if it's any good!

It used to be a favourite of mine in my childhood...but that was sooo long ago now!
Would like to know how you get on for when we visit relatives in the Midlands...
ssd · 26/07/2005 10:17
We're visiting relatives too Lizzy, near Warwick. Where are you going?
Moomin · 26/07/2005 10:21
We live not too far away. Last time we went was just after last easter. It's good imo. They don't have the monkey jungle anymore so no fear of having your wheels nicked by them. White tigers are gorgeous. Nicely laid out.
Rides & stuff look fine but didn't go on any last time as we went in school hols when dd had chicken pox so couldn't mix with other kids. She was 2y 6m and really enjoyed it though. Get busy in hols but then again, everywhere does. If you're in that neck of the woods, there's also the \link{http://www.svr.co.uk/Severn Valley Railway} if your kids are that way inclined.

I'm from Worcestershire, Redditch actually, but my Dad lives in Studley (Warwickshire) and MOm is moving to Stratford.......
I remember lots of school trips and days out to Bewdley for the Safari Park as a child and I loved it! I also dressed up as Mickey Mouse once for a Charity day there when I was in late teens and sweltered in the heat...........makes me feel all nostalgic!

ssd - if you're going to Warwick area (my neck of the woods) you'll also have Hatton Country World on your doorstep which is great for kids.
flatmouse · 26/07/2005 11:17
Another option for the chocoholics is Cadbury World. If you have National Trust membership there are a few places round the midlands.
LunarSea · 28/07/2005 12:13
Hatton also has the best toyshop around -Woolgar's in the shopping village there.
WigWamBam · 28/07/2005 12:17
Cadbury World did nothing at all for me, we were through and out within three quarters of an hour. Selly Manor and Minworth Greaves are just around the corner in Bournville though, and are well worth a look - at half the price.
If you would come out as far as Dudley, The Black Country Living Museum is superb.
