I can't believe it's a expensive as the UK anywhere - it's eye-watering at the moment, and I can't understand why nobody is making a fuss like they used to. the price of oil is apparently quite low atm. Around here it's about 117p/litre (but we're nowhere near the channel).

But Louisa's link suggests that the UK is cheaper: 138 Euro Cents per litre v 130!

Oil prices are very low at the moment but it's the Tax in the UK as per fecking usual!

Diesel is always much cheaper on the continent. Petrol is borderline depending on where the exchange rates sits at any particular moment. It used to be cheaper in France but with the weak pound and French tax catching up on ours there is not a lot of difference.

Ponders · 31/03/2010 13:34

Last summer unleaded was a lot cheaper in the UK, diesel a lot cheaper in France (it was down to c 0.85euro at supermarkets in July)

Ponders · 31/03/2010 13:35

this is Feb prices but I think the £ was a bit stronger then?

So we are all going to Latvia for our holidays then?
