And what about creams? Do they go in the hold?

if you need them mid flight you will be fine if they have prescription labels on

Thanks! Didn't want to risk losing them in the hold.

I am not certain of how it works, if you take cream for example the quantity might be restrected as they probably consider it as a "liquid". It might be different if you take things in a checked in suitcase rather than hand luggage.

If you are likely to catch a cold there, take some paracetamol with you. Last time DH went to USA for work he got flue there and was not even able to buy paracetamol or the equivalent of Lemsip as he did not have a local ID and his passport was not accepted as proof of identity Had to send an American collegue to buy it for him.(was in Detroit maybe different states have got different regulation)

A few day later when he was up to not only go to work but go out a bit, the same collegue took him to an outdoor activities shop were they were selling guns and he would not have to give an ID had he decided to buy one. Madness!!!

Dd1 has ezcema cream so will have a label on but it's not bad enough it would be a total disaster in the hold.
Will stick some painkillers in the hold too
