Going to stay in Bath second week of Easter holidays. Not really familiar with the area, have two dd's, one 5 and one 2.5. Longleat Safari is already on list, but we are staying in town and would like a range of options. Preferably some indoor in case of rain and some with no cost if poss (any good swing parks would be great!!) thanks. :-)

Royal Victoria Park in centre of Bath had a good sized playground area when I last visited it. It's below the Royal Crescent.
Bristol is very close (about 15 miles I think) and has a nice zoo, also Explore@Bristol hands on science (indoor, supposed to be good although I haven't been). Shopping at Cribbs Causeway, large indoor shopping centre(it's dry, but don't expect more than the usual high st stores, large M&S and John Lewis at either end of "The Mall"), Clarkes village, outlet shopping get kids shoes there, but also lots of other stores. Weston-super-mare or smaller but nicer Burnham-on-sea for beach/promonade walks. Cheddar Gorge/Wookey Hole caves.
It is a lovely area, hope you have a good week!

I thought Explore@Bristol had closed?

The nature bit has closed, can't remember what that was called, but the science bit is still open and there is now an aquarium at @bristol.

There is softplay at the leisure centre.

I've not been but a touristy eatery is Sally Lunns teashop.

Have fun!
