Has anyone done one of those £9.50 holidays in The Sun?

There was a review in The Times travel section recently and they said it was ok, £9.50 per person for loads of different caravan parks in Britain and I think you can go to France and Spain as well.

Anyone?

Tokens started on Sunday in the NOTW (gosh aren't I highbrow), and they are printing them all week I think. Brochure in tomorrows Sun with info.

I went to the Haven in Pretatyn Wales last year. We went in September and paid the extra to stay for the whole week. The weather was lousy but the accommodation was ok. they gave us an upgraded caravan for some reason (we hadn't paid the extra to upgrade though!) Thought Wales was really nice so spent the week going out every day.

just to add I think its def worth the money!

cerys we didn't go on the sun deal that time either as I haven't mastered the buy lots of newspapers and do a week bit. But it is on the sun list. The kids loved the little shops down by the sea and we did see the dolphins every day except the last one. Met some people who said they hadn't seen them once in 18 years but they were older and maybe didn't have children waking them up

Didn't realise the vouchers were in the NOTW too - maybe that's why I never managed my choice of holiday even with the priority booking form. Go with them once and you get priority for the next trip, which also means you know when you have to start buying the newspaper

tatt - we converted our Tesco clubcard vouchers to holiday deals tokens and have had caravan holidays for 3 years like that.

We didn't see the dolphins but were certainly awake very early (3 kids under 5, including a baby whose routine went to pieces on holiday and who gave up sleeping at night time)

Some of those caravans are £800+ during August! I'm sure it would be cheaper to go abroad, or am I out of touch?

Got my brochure and I think we are going to go for the Kiln Palk one in Tenby. It's going to cost £38 for all 4 of us for a weekend so even if it's crap it's hardly going to break the bank.

Hopefully the weather will be nice and I can talk my girlies on the beach for the first time, ahhhhh.
