Can anyone make any suggestions to what or where we could go? I;m meeting with some old school friends and we have no ideas. We would like to eat but realsie that it may be a bit much to desend on a restaurant! Some sort of play area would be great but foods normally a bit dodgy.
Is there anything in between? Oh yeah and to add to that we are meeting in half term so everywhere will be rammed!
I am on the berks, surrey hampshire boarder so lots of scope for areas.
Any suggestions greatly recieved.

I went here with friends when my DC were 2 and 5, it was great, has indoor and outdoor areas, I think we took our own food and picnicked. Now is a lovely time to go as the lambs are being born.

Its Berks/Bucks border. I am sure there are others similar that may be more local to you, but I live further round M25 so not aware of them. Try "farm park" or similar for your area on Google - one of those local Days Out in your county type pages.

Thanks for that, Was thinking somewhere a little more adult for a nice treat so we can catch up and the kids have something to do.

If you want something to do then Milestones in Basingstoke is a good place - here. It has quite a nice cafe and I think a room you can eat your own food in. The kids can dress up in Victorian clothes - there is even a little sweet shop where you can get a bag of sweeties (I think you have to buy the token when you first go in).

Another altenative is Virginia Water - lovely cafe - quite used to kids - there is also a play area and you can go for a nice walk. Best on a nice day though!

With kids that age, I'd go out in the evening.
