Anyone been? What did you think of it?

We were there in November - usual Centre Parcs fare, but had a good time. The outdoor waterfall/cascadey slide thingy was fab & the crazy golf was quite imaginative. DD & cousin had good times in the kids club & the beach was lovely, but pretty chilly that time of year. Some nice walks on the rest of the island too. I imagine there's quite a lot to explore in Zeeland, but this time we hardly got off the grounds.

We went there last year, February half term. Not quite as smart as the other Center Parcs we have been to , but we had a really good holiday there. We booked a VIP villa for a fraction of what it would cost in the UK, it had a sauna and the price included fresh bread and a newspaper delivered to the cottage every morning .It's right by the beach which was lovely ( even in Feb!)The outdoor rapids are the best we've found and sooo warm!. There is a tyre slide inside as well . We visited Middleburg, and a few other little places,. All very easy to drive to .We found the restaurants quite expensive on site, but our children are older teens and so its basically 4 adults eating and the exchange rate is poor at the moment. I cooked most nights and that was a lot cheaper. Any specific questions just ask!

Thanks for your replies .

Was it a good place for bike riding? And do they have normal villas by the beach or just VIP ones?

Did you drive from Calais? AM debating whether or not to do the overnighter from Harwich (with Tesco vouchers) so we are a bit closer when we get to Holland.

Everywhere in holland is good for cycling, but Zeeland would be fab as it's all pretty flat. The wind can be the only downside (I'd suggest setting out with the wind in your face for an easy ride back)

As far as I recall most houses weren't really on a beach, but had some on the harbour front. I think the majority was terraced too. We were somewhere at the back (needed 6 bedrooms and SIL paranoid about tots falling in the water)

No advice on travelling - we were already in the Netherlands. The P&O ferry from Hull would come in very conveniently at Europoort I believe; otherwise Calais isn't that far really

We didn't use bikes apart from one day and it was fine . Its not as big as some of the Center parcs so was easy to walk around but the area is so flat cycling would be fine. Sorry I think I worded it badly before .The site itself is by a beach ( Just over the road) not the villa . We were directly by the marina, and the sea curved round one side of the park.

We took the overnight ferry from Hull and it was a 40 minute drive from Rotterdam Europort.

we paid £330 for the villa and the ferry was about £250.

The ferry crossing was cheap from Hull. Its so much more when I checked it out, obviously hiked up the prices for half term like everyone does.

Hull would be so much better for us but its either £450 versus nothing if we use the tesco vouchers from Harwich.

Thanks all for your responses.

I think it depends on when you book it rather than when you are travelling. The Hull ferry is costing us £224 this year , but we booked back in September. Not much use to you now I know, but worth bearing in mind if you do the trip again .

Really? I knew Easyjet etc did it like that but didn't realise ferries did too!

Thanks for the tip.
