Were you there this week? Did you have a good time?

We are off this Sunday. Just doing some last minute research.

Hi Mme Lindt

We have just got back this morning and we had a fabulous time, was really cold though so you will definately need those thermals!

My two boys are 9 and 4 and the best rides were, Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear, Dumbo, Mad Hatters tea cups and it's a small world, we were told that snow white and pinocchio might be abit scary for under 5's but my youngest was fine on them.

We took full advantage of the extra magic hours, in the park at 8.00am spent an hour on the rides before the queues built up then we had breakfast in the park, (when we booked into the Cheyenne we were given vouchers to do the breakfast in the park but don't go without your dated voucher because they wont let you in without it), before going back to the rides when the park opened fully at 10.00am

Definately do a character meal if you can, we went to Afternoon Tea at the Lucky Nugget and it was fab, the kids got individual time with Micky, Goofy, Pluto & Chip and Dale, it was definately a highlight.

Micky's Winter Wonderland show is really good too and don't miss the parade, we watched the parade twice once on Main street and once by It's a small world, I think the view from It's a small world was better but get there at least 15 mins early to get a good spot.

We only spent 1 morning in the studios, theres not alot of rides for young children and the queues were really long for the few that are there, the stunt show is worth seeing and the stitch Live was good but we had to queue for 30 mins and it only lasted 15 mins.

Ones to avoid - Armageddon is quite scary my oldest was ok with it but it is really intense, phantom manor is also quite scary, it is very dark in there and there were alot of crying unders 8's!, orbitron was ok but is basicly the same as Dumbo and Dumbo is better (more room to sit and easier to make go up and down). Alices labyrinth was ok but my two were bored after 5 mins.

I think that's the main bits, if I think of anything else I'll post again later and if you want to know anything else just ask.

You'll have a fab time!

MrsG
Great to hear that you enjoyed your trip. The weather is forecast to get warmer so hopefully we will not be too cold.

Thanks for the tips. Do you have to pay extra to have breakfast in the park?

There's no extra charge for breakfast in the park, it was in the Plaza Gardens on main Street, started at 8.15am and last entry was 9.45am, buffet style eat as much as you like.

Got back on Wednesday. We had a wonderful time, mainly because we followed most of the tips on here.

DH kept saying, "Wasn't that lucky that we happened to be at the right place at the right time to see that attraction".

Er, no DH. It was due to my superior planning and the help and advice of MNetters.

Peter Pan, Pinocchio and Pirates of the Caribbean were the favourites even though DD had her eyes shut through most of the rides. Buzz was great as well, Small World and the cars that you can drive, Autopia was a great hit.

We all enjoyed the studio tram tour and the stunt show.

Got out photo taken with Mickey on Main Street.

Had lunch in the pizza/pasta place opposite Small World, was decent. And the Rattatouie place in the Studio. Also ate in Annettes Diner, the kids loved the rollerskating servers.

Plaza Gdns was brilliant for breakfast, would just go there next time. On our final morning we had breakfast in Cafe Mickey before going for the train. Was well worth the money, and a great finale to the holiday.

Thanks again for all the great tips.
