This is our first year where dd1 is at school and so we are going on holiday during school holidays - want to go for a week's self catering in the UK in the summer but it costs a fortune - even in a caravan! How does eveyone manage?? What are your tips for school age holidaying?

We tend to go away at Easter and October half term for shorter breaks.

This year we are going to Eurocamp in Holland and it is costing £185 inc the ferry and a £9.50 Sun Holiday a bit later in the year.

Last year we Eurocamped in Italy and it cost £2000 inc flights, food, trips etc which was a cheap holiday for us as a family x5.
