Is it easy to get from Vancouver to Seattle?

Having a bit of a travel nightmare and may have to get 6 of us from Vancouver airport to downtown Seattle?
The best transfer seems to be by coach. Does anyone know if crossing the border will add lots of delay to the trip?
Is it do-able?

We did it by ferry from vancouver. We had no delay at border.

We did it at Xmas driving, we had about an hour wait at the border so not too long. We had done the visa waiver online but they don't have the tech at the border for them yet, so you have to go in and fill out a green form and pay the visa fee (I think it was 18usd for our family of 3)

I have done it on the Greyhound bus, it's dead easy. You do have to get off at the border and walk through customs with your stuff but it doesn't take long.

It is possible to do this by coach or by train, there will be a delay though when you approach the US side of the border. Visa waiver forms will need to be completed for all members of your party.

The ESTA is now a mandatory requirement for entry into the USA (this is free to use; I hope jemesouviens was not charged because if she was, she was ripped off).

Thanks everybody. I am having another rant at the travel company and hoping my direct flights might be reinstated. They should be for the price of the holiday!

There's a train, the Amtrak Cascades, which runs Vancouver,BC - Seattle,WA (NB don't get confused with Vancouver,WA which is south of Seattle).

Thanks everyone, I should've updated. Direct flights reinstated so woohoo we're departing Seattle on the Golden Princess in August after all, for our dream cruise to Alaska.

Glad you avoid the hassle, and wow, enjoy the cruise. We hope to get to Alaska while we're here (about a 4hr drive).

Attila, I was about to get all indignant about being ripped off $18, but we did the ESTA online for free, however, they can only accept these at airports. They couldn't at the drive across borders as they aren't set up for them. Hence having to fill out the green visa card, and paying the fee. That was there story anyway, and we weren't about to argue with the border guards.
