is there anything interesting to do with a 10 month old in London in subzero temperatures?! Dh is talking about going swimming (indoor pool) but I can't face it.
Any ideas?

When the weather gets a bit better why not try going to London Zoo, but than again depends on if your up for walking around. I definitely agree with ToddlerYears who recommended trying the museum of childhood, its great I was taken there so many times as a baby and child!

A great place is the Discover centre in Stratford. We tube it from further out on central line and is DD loves it.

Also soft play- tumble in jungle in walthamstow.

we had a day out in London with our DS when he was 3mths,

We did the London eye and went to a movie museum that was next to it.

I wouldn't waste humungous entrance fee to London Zoo on a 10 month old.

What about St James Park? Feed the ducks. Walk down Whitehall and see the horse guards?

Or Princess Di children's playground in Kensington Gardens, at a push, but even then I don't think many under 2 year olds would get much out of it.

Do whatever you fancy and take baby along. You've got years and years and years of putting your toddler and young child first when it comes to choosing activities. Make the most of the little time you have left to be selfish!

Tate Modern is good with little ones because - on a very simple level - it has big comfy sofas on every floor where you can easily take a break with your DC.

Or, you could go to a parent and baby screening at a cinema. Lots of cinemas do them, like The Rio in Hackney for example, which does them on Tues and Thurs in the daytime.
They show adult films - you can only get in with your baby if they are under 1. The first time I went I was surprised how watchable the film was with a cinema full of babies! my DS seemed to enjoy it - often he was looking around at the other babies / feeding / sleeping, just as much as looking at the screen. I'm gutted I cant go any more now DS is 13 months, it was a real treat!
