Florida at christmas time - guaranteed sunshine???

We went last year and had fantastic weather - glorious sunshine every day, t shirts and shorts weather. I assumed that was normal and we've booked to go again this year but the forecast I've been looking at the last few days shows rain and lots of cloud. Were we just lucky before perhaps? I'm just trying to decide what to pack hence my question.

TIA

We've been last three Christmases around gulf coast - had one year where we had a week of frankly quite cold and wet weather then a nice sunny week after that. Other times we had wall-to-wall sunshine.

We are meant to be going next week but now very much doubt it due to BA strike. I have also noticed the bad forecast this weekend - it's probably just a cold front moving through so hedge your bets and pack t-shirts and the odd fleece. it's always a bit chilly in the evening at this time of year anyway.

Am jealous I assume you are going with a non-striking airline!?!

we're going with Virgin cremeeggs so should be okay (we should shouldn't we?). Really sorry to hear that your trip is off though! What a bummer. WIll you be able to go somewhere else instead? Or delay the Florida trip perhaps?

Can't delay the trip and BA are now only offering refunds if the flight is cancelled...which we won't know till the actual day of departure. So effectively they've screwed all those with tickets as you can't get your money back to book something else until too late. NEVER AGAIN!! Enjoy your hol, you'll have a fab time!

that sucks . I haven't heard the news today - did the talks this afternoon come to anything?

cremeeggs

The High Court will make their verdict known re BA's proposed strike action this arvo. I would sit tight till then.

Do not assume therefore that your holiday is cancelled.

With reference to the original question I would take a jacket to wear in the mornings and evenings as it can feel very cold. I have also known it to rain there but the temp at present is in the low to mid 50s (it was in the high 60s the other day).

The Orlando Sentinel is the local newspaper and they carry up to date weather forecasts for the Orlando area.
