Tell me about Switzerland or French Alps in summer?

I fancy a change from our annual migration from Brussels to South of France. Looking for somewhere with lots for dd (aged 5, speaks en/fr) to do. Nice food, nice scenery. DH has always fancied going to the Reichenbach Falls - big Sherlock Holmes fan. I think Grindelwald is nearby.....

I quite fancy doing a 2 or 3 stager over 2 weeks. Stop off in b&b or camping on the way out and back for a few days, then a maybe a week/10 days in the middle.....any ideas? We have tent etc but don't want to spend 2 weeks in it....

Current plan is as follows:

Stop off between Brussels and Italy (Lucerne?) - 1 night
Parc Albatros in Tuscany (with Canvas)- 10 nights (chill out, pools, beach, kids club)
Tremezzo, Lake Como - 3 nights (George Clooney stalking visiting Bellagio and the gorgeous villas)
Meiringen area, switzerland - 3 nights (DH wants to go the Reichenback Falls)
Maybe stop off at Colmar, France, or drive straight through....
