Off to Disneyland Paris next weekend - any tips on our itinerary?

We're staying at the Newport, arriving Fri lunchtime, leaving Sun afternoon.

Travelling via Eurostar. Can we arrange bags and vouchers via Disney Express when we get to the station at DLP? Have had a look on some of the other websites but it's not that clear.

DDs are 4 and 8 so I figure we'll stick to Main street for parades, Fantasyland for princesses and Frontierland for Father Christmas. Will try to take studios in as well...

Which attractions should we aim for before the main park opens 8-10am?

We've got the offer with all meals paid for. Am booking the dinner and character brunch but is it worth booking lunch as well (non-character)? Was wondering if this would limit our timings if we were too stuck to a certain mealtime?

Anything else we simply should NOT miss?!

I stayed in Newport. Take a tuppaware sandwich box with you and drinks bottles. At breakfast you get absolutely loads in a buffet help yourself style breakfast. They do rolls, ham, cheese, cakes, fruit etc as well as the usual cereals etc. You could make up rolls for lunch and take some cake, fruit and juice. Lots of people were doing this when we were there (incl us!). Food is seriously expensive in disney. I would also take along some drinks for you to have in your room. A beer cost £8 at the Newport when we were there. Nice hotel though - swiming pool is nice too. You can easily walk to disney land from the hotel - 10 mins walk. Hope you have fun !

cheers. good point about drinks. We've got all our meals free on the package we've booked and we're taking some sweets as well. Will remember to pack some water bottles.

my recommendations

  1. Take full advantage of the magic hours - those precious 2 hours from 8 - 10. Please be aware that not all rides are open from 8. We went to try and get on Big Thunder Mountain at 8 only to be told that Frontierland didn't open til 9.30!
  1. In FantasyLand the main rides are Peter Pan (magical) and Dumbo (ordinary). Do these first. The other rides do not get that queued up
  1. Get your fast pass as quickly as possible. They go very quickly and you can only hold one fast pass at one time. Within 1 hour of park opening the fast passes for Thunder Mountain were for 3 - 3.30 pm!
  1. We went with our 6 year old. We left the park at lunchtime and went for a nap. We went back into the park at 6pm and the queues had massively eased up and we squeezed in 7 rides in the last hour.
  1. Please make sure you go on Buzz Lightyear ride in Adventureland. I think it is the best ride ever! You need to do it first thing.
  1. We also went into Disney Studios. Bit disappointed. Quite small. But the rides to go for were Aerosmith's rocking Roller Coaster (the G Force start takes your breath away!) and the Tower of Terror - brill. The film show "Cinematique" is well worth it.

Have a fab time!

forgot to mention there is a noticeboard at the end of Main Street on the right that tells you which rides/lands are open (tip if you are getting in at 8am)

We went to Disney Studios first thing one morning. We got on Crush's Coaster when it opened and the big rides are pretty good there, as well as cinemagique. Check whether you room has a kettle - don't presume! Ours didn't in Newport Bay Club, so we took a travel kettle and mugs/tea/coffee. You can buy milk in the shop in the lobby.

Not many of the lunch options on the meal plan are bookable, IIRC.

Resign yourselves to DC not eating a single vegetable (or vitamin - excluding orange juice) for the duration of your stay - it won't kill them.

Fast pass queuing theory not quite so cruicial in what should be quietish time.

No idea on Eurostar transfers, but if you can, make the very most of Friday afternoon and Saturday/Sunday evenings as there will be lots of day visitors.

I am looking to go to Eurodisney Feb half term but don't know the best length of time to go for. Any tips? Children are 2,3,5 & 5, 4 adults and 2 seniors. Thanks
