euro tunnel to disney help please!

we trying to book to disney paris but dh dont want to drive, so if we get of at MARNE LA VALLEE CHES(DISNEYLAND RESORT do we have to catch a bus / taxi how far from here to hotel thinking of stopping at newport bay ?

Have been a few times before, staying at Sequoia Lodge and had a great time.

We caught a Disney bus from just outside the train station (free bus) which took us straight there. It isn't a long walk, but easier to take the bus if you have luggage.

The Dis website has an excellent Disneyland Paris forum which is great for planning (sorry, rubbish at links)

We're going to Disneyland Paris in November, and stopping at the Newport Bay, never been before - when are you going?

We're not going till 13th (won it in a competition!!!!), sorry to hear you've had a rough year. We'll take the Eurotunnel, but we're taking the car too. We looked at Eurostar and found it too expensive by comparison.

we've stayed at Newport Bay it was lovely. There is a big lake with the Disney themed hotels around it, and as I remember the NB hotel was at the opposite end of the lake to Disneyland and the station, but there are free buses. It is made very easy. Having said that we used to walk from the NB hotel to the parks, Ds was in pushchair and DD would have walked, she would have been 4, so it can't have been that far.

We went in November time and it was ffffffffffreeezing but still fab, so pack your thermals and have a great time

No, Eurotunnel. Don't want a rough crossing on a ferry, been there, done that, probably still have the vomit stains!

As said above, the shuttle bus takes you from the station t the Disney hotels and the Kyriad/Movenpick/Holiday Inn "associated" hotels.

If you want to get away from the high prices of Disney food, you can go 1 (or maybe 2, I think it's 1) stop along from Marne-la-Vallee to Val d'Europe where there is a big shopping centre with a food court - steaks, Chinese, Italian, Sushi, Burgers. Much cheaper than trying to eat in Disney (likewise at lunchtime get a sandwich from the train station or go to McDonalds in the Disney Village - most of the food in Disney is fast food anyway, so you may as well have cheap fast food!)

How high are the prices? As part of our holiday prize, we get 250 euros in disney vouchers to spend in resort (sorry for hijack)

We booked last week for Feb half term and get all our meals thrown in. The Eurostar was already booked up so we are getting the ferry from Ashford (£70), paying £29 for a travel lodge the night before.

You lucky person! It was 2 years ago that we went so can't remember exactly, but you may want to use some of your prize money to do a character meal and then save on the other meals. The Disney character tea is the cheapest way to have characters come to your table and sign autographs (that's if your kids are into that) but it is just cakes and drinks. I think the mid-range one at Cafe Mickey in Disney village was good, good mix of characters and less chance of people who haven't paid for a character meal butting in as happened to us one year when we went for a character tea (but it was school hols)

I went in March and the prices are high! It cost us 30 euros for 2 meals of burgers/chips and a kiddie portion! The food places get very busy - but its a magical time.
