We want to go somewhere reaaly quiet with a nice beach, don't need any nightclubs or English breakfasts.

Some historical interest would be good, though basically just want to chill out on the beach, may be a walk, then nice food and a drink or two.

Can anyone help?

Oh yes and the other thing is it should really be a bargain or is that impossible?

I would second Stoupa - it's quiet but not too quiet with several beaches to choose from. Liked Kefalonia too, my husband proposed on Katos Katelios beach..

Stoupa on the mainland is lovely, so is Kalives in Western Crete.

We are going to a little village on Kos this year called Mastihari, that looks pretty much what you are looking for too.
