who would you recommend? Our has lapsed, we are in a difficult situation as Harry has cancer and is undergoing treatment. Just want cover for Europe, probably for me and the three kids, will have to sort H`s out separately. Been phoning round but its so time consuming. Thanks.

Bit random but my bank account gives me free travel insurance.

before that I used to use websites like moneysupermarket etc to get quotes but I'm not sure how they'll work when you have someone travelling who is poorly. sorry, this post isn't much help at all is it

mascaraohara · 20/05/2009 18:48

sorry, mis read you are sorting Harry's out seperately.

would deffo try post office website and then somewhere like moneysupermarket etc

ilovetochat · 20/05/2009 18:53

family policy for europe, £80 from post office.

mosschops30 · 20/05/2009 18:57

Buy online, its far cheaper.

We dont have the medical problems you have, but annual multi trip for four costs us £34 per year, and theyre very good at paying up.

Sorry also just read that you will sort out Harry's policy separate.
Deffo do online, through moneysavingexpert.com or travelsupermarket

Defo online. Last one we got was from GO. I am quite mean so it must have been cheap!

We get ours from AxaPPP.

The first year we did it (in order to go to the USA), my DD had been hospitalised for asthma in the previous 12 months. This ruled us out of all the deals on Moneysavingexpert.

Our premium is £200 for a family of seven, for worldwide cover. I should probably renegotiate it because DD has been free of hospital for three years now.

I think that having a pre-existing medical condition on a cheapo policy means that they won't provide cover related to that condition. For us, asthma was a likely thing to go wrong so it was crucial to have cover - but perhaps that is not the case for cancer.
