Anyone recommend a nice restaurant in Henley or Windsor or similar area

I am taking my parents out for their 50th wedding anniversary and want somewhere nice for lunch but not too pricy, thought Henley or Windsor would be good as in Henley we could go for a walk along River, or in Windsor we could go the the Park or Savill Garden after.

Has anyone any suggestions?

Or maybe a stately home with a restaurant, like Waddeston Manor?

Sounds lovely, thanks for the suggestion. What was the restaurant like? and what are the grounds and gardens like for children?

How about the Hinds Head in Bray? www.hindsheadhotel.com/

Le Manoir is relatively less expensive at lunch, and has a children's menu, Mr. Blanc makes a point of being child-friendly. www.manoir.com/web/olem/menu_du_jour.jsp (or they did, it's not on the website for some reason)

Thanks for the suggestions, the food at the Hinds Head looks a bit too "modern" for my parents and Le Manoir is a bit too expensive.

Has anyone been to the Riverside Brasserie at Monkey Island or Stroks Restaurant at Sir Christopher Wren Hotel at Windsor?

Another choice, child friendly and lovely grounds down to the Thames is here. My mum (in her 70s) loves it and so does my ds.

Cliveden is lovely too although I find the restaurant a bit too 'formal' for young children. It is on the Thames but it is a steep walk down. I live locally and would choose Danesfield over Cliveden.

Actually the Hinds Head is very much posh traditional pub grub. Although I guess trad English is quite modern in a way these days, what with the success of St John. But it's not snail porridge with nitro-green jelly by any means.
