Does anyone know if you can park round there please?
Don;t mind paying.

TIA

It is really close to Great Ormond Street Hospital which has this map on it's website showing parking options (looks pretty limited I'm afraid)

You can usually get a meter quite nearby. I think there are a couple of NCPs in the area (but not right next to it).

There is an underground NCP carpark nearby in Russell Square. It will be £££££.

All the local parking will be metered and, just to warn you, when I worked in the area 15 years ago, parking was £3/hour so I dread to think how much it will be now.

Do you need to drive?

FeelingLucky · 11/05/2009 21:43

Thanks all.
No, don;t need to drive, but just worried about taking DD on the tube as she might be a nightmare. It's only two stops to Russell Square so I'm probably in a tizz over nothing.
Does anyone know if there are stairs at Russell Square tube?
Just wondering if I should sling or pushchair?

I'm pretty sure its a life at Russell Square (the tunnels are so deep that everyone has to use the lift, there are no escalators). But I'd check on TFL's website, not rely on my dodgy old memory . You will have a lovely time at Coram's Fields.

get a bus - there are squillions going down southampton row.

Millarkie · 11/05/2009 22:16

There is a short flight of steps at Russell Square, and then a lift to street level. I've bumped a buggy up the steps before, not too arduous Parking is at least £3 per hour at the meters, NCP under the shopping centre under the Brunswick centre is best value.

Thanks.
does anyone happen to know whether the cafe will be open at around 5pm-ish, or will we have to bring a picnic tea?

Russell Square definitely has lifts, although when I'm taking the kids to London I prefer buses to the underground where possible.

Alternatively, if you're going into Kings Cross / St Pancras, it's only about a 10min walk from there to Coram's Fields.

FeelingLucky · 12/05/2009 21:35

Thanks everyone.
DD and I went on the tube in the end and a nice american student came to the rescue at the bottom of a flight of stairs up to the lift.

Isn;t Coram's Fields great!
Bonus was the child friendly eateries in Brunswick Centre - it's changed so much since I was last there. Must go more often.
