DH has been wanting to go here forever. I can't ignore his begging any more. Is this a highly unsuitable place for
a. Me
b. Teenage hormonal DD1
c. Stroppy DD2
none of whome are remotely interested in old transport.
I suppose we could always slope offand have a look round covent garden.

I'd leave DH to it and take the DDs to look at the shops/street entertainment/have coffee and cakes!

Frankly, I got bored very quickly in here while DH and ds loved it.

Plenty to do around there for you and dd's. Leave him to it - so that he can really concentrate and enjoy!

Have had to go millions of times.
I use to take a good book and sit it out for the afternoon
But the surrounding area - across the round behind Marks area [ not sure of the right name - down Neals Yard] is cool for teenagers - my one really likes it. They sell the really trendy trainers, clothes, film and cinema shop and other specialist little shops.
Around covent garden itself there is the undercover market and street performers which is fairly interesting.
Your son and husband could wander around for an hour and then sit in one of the cafes for another while.
The London Transport Museum is actually brilliant for transport obssessed little boys - very interactive and hands on
He will be in seven heaven

Because it's right in COvent Garden it's ideal for a mixed day out: he can spend all afternoon anoraking away and you and DDS can enjoy all the shops/cafes/buskers.

I also thoroughly recommend the museum for anyone with transport-loving boys. If you live in London it's worth getting an annual ticket (I think they call it 'joining as a friend') which lets you in free all year for an initial £30 fee: good value as it is otherwise £7 visit. My DS goes just about every week.

Sorry misread post
Meant your daughters and husband could wander around etc
If you bring a good book or newspaper its not too bad a way to spend a few hours as your son will be engrossed
