Hi, am looking to book a week in May in Puerto Pollenca for me, DP and DS ( he will be 17 months).

Would like somewhere with a kitchen, or the very least a fridge.

Don't want to be too far out, would like to be able to walk into centre/beach.

Not been before so would love some advice.

Thanks you

Flora apartments are in a great location, they are one bedroom with a kitchenette.

Not stayed in them, but know someone who did last year and were pleased with it. Very central to beach, pine walk, shops, restaurants.

PP is great, you will love it. Check out puertopollensa.com and click on apartments and you will get loads of info.

My mum had a look round Illa dOr apartments with us in mind when they last went to Puerto Pollensa and said they were really good quality and in a good location on Pine Walk.

looking at booking the Puerto Azul - any thoughts?

I have stayed at the Puerto Azul twice. Its a lovely hotel, with great kids club, playground etc..

The Thomson reps were very frieldy with my dd, who was 6 at the time. She did'nt want to come home !

We went half board, and the food was ok, quiet a variety but not fantastic.

If its a family holiday your after there, then you will be fine. If you want luxury, and no kids running about it will not suite you.

Any questions let me know if I can help

Sorry rooms do have a fridge. Great location, not too far from shops and the lovely beach.

Good luck

Thanks yorkie! I've booked it now!

Yes I am after a 'family' holiday - can't see me getting much rest with a 17 month old. So don't want him to get bored.

I've read reports that there is kitchen space, just nothing in it, so I was thinking I could take knife and plate etc for making lunch. Is that right? Also, are there no lifts? Could be a pain carrying his pushchair up and down, especially if he's asleep.

Also worried about noise. I'm thinking of emailing hotel with request for quiet room (it's worth a try!), but them worried about being round the back on the road with no sun. Ideally would like a balcony with sun in the afternoon, so I can sit out, whilst DS is having a nap.

Hope you can help, but no worries if you can't... I'm going anyway! thx

No advice on the hotel but just to say that the beach at PP is perfect with little ones. Not too busy, wide and gently shelving with beautifully warm water and fab sand. You will have a lovely time .

Hi cheeky yes there is a kitchen area but nothing in it, although the lovely staff in the restuarant did let us borrow a knife etc, but would be a eally good idea to take a few basics with you.

The first year we had a pool view, and I was worried about the noise trying to get my then 2year old ds to have a nap in the afternoon, but to be honest it is'nt really a problem. In the evening all the entertainment stops at about 11.30, and is'nt really that noisy anyway.

The following year we were on the back, and was much quieter, but not much of a view, but ok to sit with a book, when the kids are asleep.

I think there is a lift in one of the blocks, so perhaps you could request this one.
If you could get a ground floor room, these looked the best, with a lovely little garden area in front, very handy for access straight to the pool.

I'm sure you will have a lovely time, its a really child friendly place.

Wishing you a great time xx

Thanks everyone! I'm really looking forward to it, especially after the fab weather we've had this w/e, has got me in the mood for summer!

Oh sorry, could I ask another question Yorkie - is the terrace on the ground floor apartments secure, so DS couldn't run off into the pool area?

There is a small wall, separating you from the pool, but its not what I'd call secure. You would have to be watching all the time. What alot of people seemed to do when we were there was fill up a small dingy boat and let there children sit there and play.

You do get more space than a balcony but if your ds is anything like mine you need eyes in the back of your head !!!

Anything else just let me know.

we just travelled for the second time with Villa Parade. Stayed in Pollenca. All their villas and apartments look lovely and certainly the two we have had have been wonderful.
