Does anyone know the Paris suburbs?

I'm booking two nights in a Kyriad hotel (they're cheap and hopefully cheerful) near to Disneyland Paris. We also want to be able to get into the city centre fairly easily by train.

Should we go for:

Torcy
Saint Thibault des Vignes
or Chelles Centre.

None of these mean anything to me.

Any thoughts?

Although I know Paris & some of its suburbs well I dont know those ones and would have thought you'd be better staying closer to Paris on its East side.

soory not much help

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 05/04/2009 20:12

You're right, that's not much help

They're half way between central Paris and Disneyland. Any closer to the centre and they're twice the price, or more.

Mary - go to the bell at alderminster !!

I would stay at Torcey as i think it is on the train line....

BonsoirAnna · 05/04/2009 20:14

They are all totally indifferent places, as are Kyriad hotels.

yes thought so - train line is right next to the hugh - and it is big carrefour. You can get dinner in carrefour cheap ish or buy stuf to take back to your room or make a picnic.

The train will not be far from the accomidation and there are pleanty of buses that go to the train station aswell.

Indifferent is ok. We won't be there long.

Red light district / steel works / etc would be a problem!

Trainline is good, thanks for that.

using the train you will be able to get to disney or inot the centre of paris (dont do the louve on a tueday)

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 05/04/2009 20:21

The bell does look gooooorrrrgeous.

Sadly we're not as flush as we thought we were. DH is now suggesting we sleep in the car. It's an estate so he reckons we can just flatten the seats down and it'll be great!

the hotel/b&B is right by carrefour and the station so will be really easy to go to disney, grab some good cheap food at carrefour or go into the city center from there.

map showing where it is

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 05/04/2009 20:23

You can do the train from Torcy to DLP? That could be useful.
