Thats it really. Looking for somewhere to stay while we see friends who don't have room to put us up. Needs interconnecting rooms. Self catering apartment might be a good solution.

Any ideas Bristolian mnetters? Thanks.

Where abouts in Bristol will you be? There are loads!

There's a travel lodge up near Cribbs - don't know what it's like for children but I imagine it must cater for them, and you could get some shopping time at The Mall!

BS5 - I actually don't even know if thats north or south.
I'm sure there are loads but with connecting rooms? Thats a major factor really because if we are all in the same room we might as well stay with the friends!
Thanks

Also worth bearing in mind you will need to book early as rooms are in short supply, especially mid-week. Anyway, here are a few suggestions:

It's fairly central, I live in BS5 too

Hmmmm, not sure about the interconnecting rooms though. I Googled and it is porrible the Thistle Hotel might have them:

many thanks, will check out those links. Friend has recently moved and haven't seen this house yet - I'm sure it's in a lovely area though

That Corus Hotel is a bit far away but the other two are fairly central (I posted that before I knew where you were). Hope you find something!

If you're made of money there's always Woolley Grange or Calcot Manor, but they're both getting on for an hour away I would guess.

elliott · 19/04/2005 16:37

Thanks tamum - I thought of those, certainly they would give us thefacilities we need but really we just need somewhere to crash out and I think those hotels are probably better for a treat when you can make the most of the facilities.
I may see if the tourist info service can hunt me something appropriate down...

If you are prepared to stretch to Woolley Grange prices, then maybe the Hotel du Vin in Bristol:

They have studios and loft suites

And The Days Inn have apartments too:

I felt sure there would be something out there in this here village parading as a cosmopolitan city!
