DS, DH & I stayed in the Windsor Marriott Hotel end of August 08and the price included 2 day LegoLand Windsor passes and 1 day Chessington, with 4 nights accommodation. We felt it was great value for money. The hotel was gorgeous, and we hired a car. Would do it again. We booked through play & stay

Hey

The Early Learning Centre are giving vouchers at the moment with purchases which have a discount on entrance fees and staying over deals. May be worth getting one of these!

We used Tesco vouchers for the tickets and stayed at a nice B&B just down the road and it was really reasonable. It was 2 years ago but I think Tesco Deals still do the tickets.

We're going to do the Tesco thing too, but I am trying to find recommended child-friendly accommodation. Can you tell me the name of the B&B you used please?

Can I suggest a Merlin pass. It is expensive at first but we have really got our monies worth.

We used 2 for 1 vouchers for admission & we stayed in a local travelodge (Slough) £60 for family room. There's a big Tesco nearby & we got picnic stuff to take with us

If you have enough Tesco vouvhers, there's a Mercure in Windsor who are part of the Deals scheme. I had a bad experience with a b&b where they had no record of my booking and luckily I phoned to check before leaving with my 3 dc's on the sleeper. Of course last minute was impossible (in July) but the Mercure was fab and gave us interconnecting rooms - it was more than I had hoped to pay but I had no choice. If I were to do the same again I would book the Mercure again with the vouchers.

The Travelodge at Staines is good, very smart and clean, although you have to pay for parking. It has a Waitrose opposite you can get breakfast at, and buy provisions.

Wouldnt you need alot of vouchers for the Mecure? How is legoland in general? is there enough to do there for 2 days? we are going in June.

Just wanted to post a possible warning... I was at Legoland on Friday and they were doing some building work. Looked to me as though they may be installing ticket barriers on the carpark. So if travelling to Legoland this Summer, there may be parking charges. Merlin already charge at Alton Towers and have introduced recently at Thorpe Park (or in process of introducing, as when I went a month or so ago there was signs up but the barriers had not quite been installed).

Oh... just found a Planning Application... does look like it confirms it is going to be Paid Parking.
