I like to dress comfortably for flights but always feel too dressed down, so looking for ideas.

I have some "smartish" yoga trousers that I wear or rohan trousers (they are smartish but loads of pocket and comfy). Or I bring yoga trousers/loose top to change into - they always bump up heating so I hate getting off all sweaty in same clothes I got on in.

thanks poppy34m will take a look at smartish yoga trews and rohans

rohan stuff looks a bit functional but it is very comfy and better in RL. also lasts forever

I always wear a longish skirt. Can never endure the horror of lowering trousers onto the sticky floors in the loos after the 14th hour in flight.......oh for single sex loos on planes.......

Always something with pockets if travelling with children. 'secret support' vest under everything in case of spillages/ lost luggage. Echo the skirt thing. slip on shoes for security.

Well, after DD puked all over me on a long haul flight, I ended up wearing Virgin PJs for about 20 hours...!

Normally, jeans and t-shirt, even long haul TBH. But then I live in jeans!

something very practical and comfortable...the last thing you want is to be applying makeup on a plane!!

I usually travel pretty scruffy, with comfort as my first priority. Cotton knit tee-shirt and elasticated waist full skirt for preference, with a cardigan in my hand luggage for long haul. If I can, I manage without a coat (bloody nuisance most of the time) and wear shoes that I can walk and stand around in, and take off and put on again easily at security. (If you wear boots or high heels you will almost certainly be asked to take them off to be screened separately.)

I also always carry basic toiletries and a change of top and underwear on the assumption that my luggage will not arrive when I do; I can then cope for 2-3 days with the help of a same-day laundry service if I have to.

Ah the joys of regular business travel!
