What should we pack for Lanzarote next week?

Anyone just come back for the Canaries?

We're flying on Sunday, and I'm really stuggling to get my head around what sort of clothes to take for me, DD (nearly 3)and DH.

Will it really be shorts and tee-shirt/summer dresses during the day? And then maybe trousers/long sleeves for eve?

The forecast is for 20-21 degrees, with sunny intervals, but I can't think what that means, because it's too snowy here to imagine my feet without Uggs.

My SIL went to Gran Canaria a couple of weeks ago. They swam a couple of times (but they have no children and "feel the cold" so I expect you would be in the water more). In their photos they are in summer skirts/light trousers, with a t-shirt and cardigan draped over shoulders.

At the moment it is raining there! But at least it's warm rain.

So I think your idea of clothes is good. Also remember hats/caps to keep the sun off your head.

Have a great time.

We're off to Fuerteventura tomorrow , so have just finished packing. I'm also having difficulty getting my head around the fact that this time tomorrow we'll be in the sun -hurrah!!
For DS (who is the same age as your DD) I've put in long shorts, trousers, t shirts and some hoodies, and packed sun dresses, lineny type trousers, tops, a light jacket and cardigans for me.DH is big enough to pack for himself. (under supervision)
We went to Lanzarote around this time last year, and it was such a relaxing break - if you're in Playa Blanca, we'll give you a wave from Fuerte!

Got back from playa blanca, Lanzarote, 2 weeks ago. Weather was 17 - 20 degrees with
fairly persistant sea breezes so felt cooler than the actual temperature.
Wore tee-shirts / shorts during day, occasional cardi or two and needed jumper / long trousers after 6pm.
Take swimmers, though we had kiddy wetsuit for DS to go in sea and pool, as the 'heated hotel pool' was actually fairly cold for children!
Also took light weight waterproof jackets as had a couple of showers. Was wonderfully relaxing and rejenerating!

We fly too on Sunday, going to Playa de la Pocillos.
We went to tenerife last Feb half term and it was great. Warm enough in shorts and T shirt without worrying about DD (redhead) burning as long as he had suncream on. Children played in the pool for hours on end. The beach was great too, as long as it wasn't too windy.
Am hoping for the same this year, although I think last year was a bit above average temp for the time of year.
