I'm thinking of buying a mini but I'm concerned it'll be a bit of a squash. Heeeeelp!

I think you can fit the car seats and probably the buggy if you buy wisely but....how long do you plan on having the car for? Is it your only family car? You may fit the little ones in but when they are bigger will they still fit? Buggy aside what about all the other stuff? If it's round town I would go for it but if it's as your family car I would rethink.

The car seats probably, the buggy probably not, a changing bag in addition? definitely not.

Take your double buggy along to a mini garage and try it out.

They are very very small.

But very lovely

It's not our family car - DH has a big 4x4. This is just my run around so wouldn't need to fit weekly shops etc in it. However, I would need to use it every day so maybe it's not so practical...very cute though!!!

Oooh it is cute - you should go ask the pram ladies if they know what doubles will fit in a mini - or teach your older child to walk long distances very fast!

We have trouble with a Corsa so I dont know. The only double buggy that fits our boot is Twin Triumph.

I've got no idea what car to get. I suspect I'll just leave it up to DH! Thanks for all the help!

Nope - we had a mini cooper which was fine while we had 1 kid but when got pregnant with no 2, we had to get rid of our beloved mini (as no way we'd be able to fit a car seat for baby behind driver's seat - as he's tall and there isnt enough space - and a buggy in boot plus new baby paraphernalia). Sorry... Though am aiming to get a mini again when the kids are much older and we just need 2 booster seats (and no buggy) for them...

I think you can do it, but you might get tired of the faff, as I have done.

It does get a bit tough lifting and fastening the kid into the carseat without rear doors.

My Phil&Teds double would fit in the boot, but not without some dismantling of the removable double seat and perhaps a wheel.

Here is my thread about thinking of ripping out the front passenger seat of my MINI for ease of access/storage.

On the other hand I love my MINI and it's v useful for parking in London, where we live. So it is worth a fair degree of hassle.

Get the MINI Clubman (a Mini estate car) and things get a whole lot easier.
