EuroDisney - "Hopper" tickets - worth buying?

I am thinking of taking my dd(8) to Euro Disney at half-term. There's a coach trip which runs locally from me, day 1 basically drive to Paris, free time and sleep. Day 2 in Eurodisney park, sleep etc, day 3 drive back to UK.

We have the option to buy a Hopper pass which allows us to go back into the park as we please. Is it worth getting these for a one-day trip or just stay in the park until it closes?

I priced up going independantly but it works out cheaper (plus easier) to go with this company. I'm just not sure if this pass is worth it.

Any thoughts?

If you don't have a hopper you can still come and go into teh park - but you can only go to one park I think (you choose - teh main park is bigger).

The hopper will allow you to go to both parks - you will probably find that there is more than enough to keep you entertained in 1 park for 1 day - although the parks do have different things to offer.

The Studio's park is much much better for seeing the characters - and there are some good special effects type demos. The other park is the more classic Disney Park.

What is the difference in price between the hopper and non-hopper? If it is only a fiver I would do it because it gives you the chance to get away from teh busier park and see more characters if not it is not really worth if for just 1 day.

Have you checked the price at the disney store? Last year they were doing a special offer 2 park ticket hich was only about £2 more expensive than buying a 1 day ticket onthe gate

here you go. 1 day 2 park ticket for only £1 more than a 1 park ticket}. For an extra £1 per person you may as well do this and then you have teh flexibility to do what you want. You can get them at this price in the Disney store - but you may have to order 14 days in advance so do it sooner rather than later (which were too late and had to pay full price on the gate).

What time are you arriving in Paris? We got to the park at 3pm on hte first day and it was still worth a 1 day ticket (which we bought on the gate as we couldn't gurantee getting there with worthwhile time). We found this worked great as we saw both parades, including the midnight one. It also meant we also knew the best spots for viewing the eartly evening prade the next day. We then felt that we didn't need to hang around for the midnight parade and were much fresher to get up for the journey home. It will add another £30-£35 per person to your break though - and was pretty exhausitng (but worth it!)

If it is your first trip then TBH I think with just one day you are unlikely to suffer by not having a multi-entry ticket - other than the studio option (more characters, less rides) the only reason I can think you might want that is to go to one of the restaurants outside like Annettes, but TBH there are plenty of OK restaurants inside. I wouldn't bother as there is so much to do in the main park, but I would recommend you book up lunch at a 'character' restaurant to make sure you saw at least some characters up close and personal - here is where you can book lunch in advance

All Disney tickets allow you to come and go as you please. ~The hoppper just lets you go to both parks.

TBH we ate at McDs in the village and - I know it is McD's but it was the best value. The Disney restaurants are very very expensive....

It is our first visit. I think dd will be equally excited by the characters - esp the Princesses and the rides.

McDonalds will do just fine, this is the default option in lieu of picnics when eating out with dd. Especially at lunchtimes!

Thanks - I need all the tips I can get!

I've not been to a theme park for years, well, bar Legoland! let alone one abroad. I'm starting to really look forward to it now.

just need to find dd's passport -eek!
