We're going to Eurocamp in Spain next June and were going to drive (we drove to Siblu in France this year),but as the drive is twice as long, we've decided to fly. Once adding up all the costs, it works out quite expensive:
3 bed deluxe mobile home with aircon and decking - 800.00
Flights for me, DH and 2 DC's - 400.00
Car hire with child seats - 300.00
Total - 1,500.00
Is this about right? We have no idea as we used to do super cheapie Allocation on arrival deals before we had kids - like 99.00 each type deals!

sounds normal yes.

Sounds very reasonable to me. We've booked the same accommodation with Eurocamp in France but in July - at it was £1700. Probably need to add at least £200 on top for petrol/overnight stops etc. Amazing the difference a few weeks makes!

We paid £2400 to go to bloody Majorca last summer. That was booked privately and was the cheapest possible price for that holiday in July. My parents have since moved to France, so in future we will tie in a trip to them with a weeks stay at a Eurocamp/similar site.

Blimey, so it looks as though that's it forever now - the price will just keep going up and up! So long super cheapie deals! Just as well we did so many of them before we had kids!

Last year we had nothing booked, but ended up booking 10days in a top of the range mobile home with Canvas in September for £310 (ferry included). OK maybe not what people call "summer" or even what people regard as a "foreign holiday" these days seeing as how easy it is to get to France, but it worked for us. We got a nice break away, swimming pool, playgrounds for DD and sampled the local cuisine, for the same price people pay for a UK break.

We didn't book till last week in July, did chance our luck as to what was left but it paid off. Maybe it's worth waiting till nearer the time to book?
