We are taking finnair from UK to seoul, korea with 18 months old. It says we can take 10kg extra for the infant and a folding pushchair. But where does car seat fit in all this? Anybody have experience? We are taking dd on our lap but would need car seat once we get there as my parents don't have one.

I think the only airline that is generous is BA who allow an infant 23 kilos of lugguage, a buggy and a car seat.

Most at 10 kilos and a buggy.

Hi, I have also been going through the same issues with BA vs Qantas - BA let you fly out with the car seat but because we are flying back with Qantas we are unable to bring the car seat back! I have a company that rents out baby equipment to hire a car seat from.

In this current age has anyone had experience flying long-haul and checking in their 2 piece buggy into the hold (ie any Bugaboo like buggies). I am worried that we will get charged more for our buggy because it is not a one piece collapsible buggy.

Also anyone flown with their travel cot? Did it go over the baggage allowance?

Not used finnair but never had any trouble taking car seat, buggy and travel cot

Never been charged for any of it

Our car seat went in the hold with Qantas from UK to NZ. We bought a special carrier bag to put it in though.
