If you intend to eat in any of the bookable restaurants (restaurant Mickey, the lagoon one or the hotels) you need to think about booking before you go as they will be getting fully booked [smug emoticon as have already booked] the booking line can do it fo ryou they were very helpful.

Just come back.

Was freezing so snow suits were a must for the DSs.

Make the most of the early pass if you're in one of the on site hotels. Everyone is allowed in the park from 8 but those who are not staying in the disney hotels can't get into the areas with the rides. They do however queue at the entrances. Push past and waive your ticket and you'll sail in ahead of them all. DS1 had three goes on Buzz Lightyear on a Saturday (day from hell)much to the digust of the queuing parisens.

Don't bother with the popular rides on a saturday since you'll spend your whole day waiting.

King Ludwigs restaurant in the disney village is doing a special at the moment where kids meals ar 5 euros and adults are 17. Massive saving on the £25 for burger and chips in the park (although still far from cheap).

Don't bother with father christmas in woody's coralle (sp??). We waited for an hour and then gave up having sent DH to sneak a peak throgh the window where he saw the kids having 1 minute with father christmas in a very unchristmassy barn whihc was suposed to be a grotto. Really disappointing. he is however in the parades so we just got DS1 to shout out his requests when FC drove by!

Got back last weekend.
Second that it is absolutely freezing. Take lots of layers and change for hot drinks!

This is the first time we went at Christmas and found it busy compared to other times - get to the park early with "magic hours" if staying in Disney hotels to go on popular rides, and again make use of the slump in the queues when the parades are on once you have seen them!

Smuggle lunch into the park else you will be eating "junk food" for lunch and supper. We took fresh rolls and fruit into the park for lunch, and then had supper in the disney village, but most of the food is burgers, chips, etc and expect to pay £25 per adult, £15 child in these sort of places.

Thanks for all your suggestions!! We are staying at the Dream Castle. My son has special needs so we should get fast tracked to the front of the queues! We are both so excited to be there over Christmas!!
