Center Parcs or Disney Paris?

We were planning to go to Disney the second week in December but the friends we were to go with backed out, so we stopped the plans. So now we have a week off in December and other friends going to Disney in January.

I looked into getting a last minute deal at Center Parcs for the week in December for £224, which seemed pretty good, but DH reckons it will be cold and miserable cycling about just to take boys swimming when we could do that at home (boys age 4 and 20mths so not really big enough to be doing other stuff at CP yet). So DH very up for Disney in the New Year. but onviously that will cost much more than Center P.

But we may have a better time.

Any advice from folk that have been to either/both at this time of year?

Ta.

At least at CP, you can get in the warm and don't have to queue. A friend has been to Disney in March and she said it was miserable weather and queuing made it seem much worse.
As long as you wrap up, the pool at CP is so inviting in winter (we've in snow, rain, sun) and we've always loved it whatever the weather.

I agree CP is nice at any time of the year, but Diney at New Year will be magical.

Buy some long johns and take the dcs to see Mickey imo!

I;m trying to convince dh that we should do disney for new year. They have a big parade and fireworks - looks magical.

He too is worried about the weather.

Just been to CP was not too bad on bikes and my kids would spend all day in pool if allowed.

There are some activities for there age range we found 1 a day for both of ours who are similar ages.

Went to Disney last March was very cold - but still had a great time.

Find CP more relaxing than Disney (came back from there on my knees and in need of another holiday!!!

hi

i have been to disney paris in november and december for the christmas parades.

it was brill, very chrismassy, even had a xmas market in disney village.

the best hotel is sequoia lodge hotel as very close to the parks, easy to walk to.

it was very cold so wear plenty of clothes and if you have a child in a buggy make sure they have a thick coat and a cosy toes/footmuff on the buggy, they will need it.

can't comment on cp as have never been.

Thank you all!

We have been to both before - but CP in the summer and disney in december - so we do know that it is damned freezing at disney in the winter!

Still undecided.

We've just come back from CP and we tend to go twice a year - always when it's cold as thats the best way to enjoy it (as far as we're concerned!) - there's nothing lovelier than wrapping up warm and cosy, walking off to the pool which is very warm and inviting, then coming back to the villa and putting the log fire! Love it! HAve never been to DL but the thought of the queues -esp as DS1 is 3 and DS2 is 1 so there would be a lot of things that DS1 would want to go on that DS2 couldn't so he would have to wait around a lot- gives me the shivers! I am putting it off until DS2 is at least 3 himself - but you will have a fab time whatever you decide.

Disney will be no fun if it rains, centre parcs will be. Go to disney in the summer. Better still keep saving and go to Florida or California

We went to CP last January and it was 15 degrees and quite mild to be pottering about on bikes. Just goes to show you never can tell.
