When your baby needs formula and there is no boots airside for cartons?

I make his formula the correct way with cooled boiled water and letting it cool further after half an hour etc.

Many reviews I have read say you shouldn't use aircraft boiled water but I am not sure why. Afterall, we drink it in our coffee!

I thought you could bring rady made up formula on the plane? It falls under medication or allowed items or something like that. You can definatley take it. That I know. As for the boiled plane water, its bottled. Its boiled by the flight attendants on the plane (well it has been every time Ive flown but I could be wrong).
Just be aware that some countries wont let you take it in. I know that Spain and Australia wont let premade stuff in.

I have been told by Glasgow Airport that I cannot take any cartons through security.

I'm pretty sure that in airports where there are no Boots the other stores stock baby milk instead like WHSmiths etc.
You can call in advance and reserve what you need as well to guarantee you get it.
Check what stores are in the airport and phone and check!

I just had to taste it at Bristol airport recently.

Phone the airport you will be flying from and ask - they all seem to have different rules.

If you can't get the ready made stuff or bring it through you can bring powder and use normal bottled water - it's fine for one day. I did it with DS when he was a baby as I couldn't get ready made cartons anyway.

Its tricky as the rules are so different for each airport, they should be consistent shouldn't they and then provide guaranteed places to buy it!

We took cartons with us on one flight to USA and that was fine, and it was not even that long after 9-11 , then the next time we took 4 bottles (sterilised before we left home) and the cartons, and then just put the cartons into the bottles before we went through security, they were fine with this, and I was able to test it if asked. But I have to say that I have flown on about 10 flights to and from and throughout USA and never been asked to taste formula....again, consistency makes it so confusing..

I also agree that normal bottled water will be fine as a one off.

If you're going to use bottled water, use Evian.

I seem to remember the Evian thing too Soupy - wasn't sure enough to post it though!
