Hi we've just booked a holiday to Hisaronu in Turkey for July next year, i have 2 young children aged 5 and 2 and now i'm concerned that it going to be far too hot for them. Has anyone been to Turkey with young childrn at this time of year and if so how did the kids cope.

TIA for any replies.

Hi, I've been to Turkey loads of times and was panicking over taking my son for the first time. He was just coming up for 3 and we went last week in June/first week in July. The temps hit nearly fifty degrees at times, but he was fine. We've been four times now with him and he loves it.

Keep them in the shade, a high factor sunscreen, a sunsuit so they can go in and ou the pool without you having to worry, a sunhat and PLENTY of fluids.

Please make sure that you have booked somewhere with air conditioning (its also very common that you pay extra for air con in Turkey). It can be very hot, still 20-30 degrees at night in Turkey.

You'll have a fabulous time, Turkey is a great country and they LOVE children.

There's a fantastic Turkey forum on the Holiday Truths website where you'll get loads of great advice on your hotel and on Hisaronu in general.

Hope this helps. x

They'll be fine Slap the sunscreen on them, put sunhats on and make sure they drink plenty. Very that you are going to Turkey.

Because Hisaronu is up in the hills, it has the advantage of being a little bit cooler and less humid than on the coast. Enjoy!

hi thanks for your replies, i will make sure that i keep the kids in the shade and well hydrated. Just worrying as i've never been there before. I'm sure the kids will be fine, it'll probably be me that finds the heat too much.

I just imagined us going there and being the only ones with young kids ad everyone giving us disaproving looks for taking such young children there when the temperatures are so high.
