which west end musical can you take a 4 year old to?

Lion King?

Very few and check with theatres about allowing under 5's in. We are performing in the West End in 2 weeks and have been told Westminster Council don't allow under 5's in the theatre at all (Her Majesty's)

Lion King is too young. I was there last year and there were two children aged about 4 or 5 who had to be taken out sobbing after the stampede. My dd is 6 and she was just about old enough.

she went to see lion king it was a bit long for her but ok overall.
i thought billy elliot but when i went to see it there were a few scary parts.

IMO 4 is very young to sit through something as long as a musical - we took DS2 along with us when we took DH's parents to see My Fair Lady. I think he was about 7 or 8 and it was a nightmare. He got bored (OK, probably not the best choice of musical, but it was my FIL's choice!) and we had to keep taking him to the loo, which meant squeezing past loads of other people who tutted each time!

Why do you want to go to the theatre?

i have taken my 4 year old dd to see high school musical, sound of music and nutcracker ballet and she loved them all, do they sit still at a cinema/ pantomime?. I would try something like that first before taking them to the westend.
