I've read all sorts of reviews online from families who have visited this park... can anyone who has been really recommend it? I'm thinking about a fun afternoon for a group of girlfriends.

went last summer (in hols) and it was great, not too busy. Took 5 kids aged 1-7 and they all loved it. Take clothes you don't mind getting wet/dirty and shoes that come on and off easily eg crocs for slides. Quite low key so can imagine it would not cope well with too many visitors.

hehehe... dc's are all in their 30s (and beyond) . One of my best friends is moving to Canada so looking for something fun for our group of friends to do together. We will travel up from London and stay somewhere around Norwich.

I have been - its fantastic. I would suggest wearing trainers though as I was trying to climb rope ladders in birkies which wasn't good.

Thumbs up for Thetford Forest too, although slightly miffed they are not doing Father Christmas this year.

We went a couple of weeks ago.
Practically had the place to ourselves.
We all had a great time.
Food there is v. expensive though.
Zip slides fun for everyone.
We spent two hours making dens out of planks.
Adults enjoyed it as much as the children.

Bewilderwood is quite a bit out of Norwich.

kiwibella · 01/10/2008 13:48

those who know the area... can you recommend accommodation near either place? Preferably a cottage or similar so we can all be together (6-8 persons) but definately budget so even a handy holiday inn would do!!

Well its very close to Center Parcs

Fimbo · 01/10/2008 14:02

I went here for a night out on Saturday - food was lovely. I think the accommodation would be ok.

Thetford would be the nearest town but it is a bit crummy. You might be better staying in a travel lodge in Norwich and then just going by car (would take about 30/40 mins max). The other option would be to stay around Cambridge.

Fimbo · 01/10/2008 14:03

Oops my last two messages are for Go Ape btw.

worley · 01/10/2008 14:17

def go to go ape if its adults, bewilderwood is more for children.

if your making a weekend of it and staying in norwich, you could see who's playing at the UEA maybe. travis is on soon, or head down to riverside

kiwibella · 01/10/2008 22:08

thanks for your suggestions... I'm super excited!!
