The Mole Who Knew It Was None of his Business

There is a new play of this story(synopsis ) which is on all over the place at the moment - for ages 4 and up (or even 3 at a pinch) - it sounds absolutely brilliant for kids, esp the ones who like to say "poo-head" a lot!
I haven't been able to find a list of venues, but the production company is called Kipper TIE and if you google them and the title you should find one near you.

Ooh, thank you JanH! I think we'll be going to that one! DS1 loves theatre, and this book, so it's an easy sell.
Walter the Farting Dog is American, I think, all about a farting dog. Quite cute. And Le Grand Voyage de Monsieur Caca is Quebecois, in French, about the digestive system. Quite accurate, and very enjoyable.

The Albany in Deptford is a great place to see children's plays. They do 'Family Sundays' and when the plays fit my boys age range (5 years and 10 years) we often turn up.
The large cafe has lots of running around space, toys to play with, a garden outside and serves interesting food - and there's a nice playground just round the corner.
I will make a note of the date. Thanks as ever, JanH, for the link.
Anyone fancy meeting up?

we're going (one 40 something woman, two boys aged 10 and 5). Be warned - when I phoned a few days ago there were not tickets left - we reserved the last three. Do check, though. The Albany rarely run out of tickets for these sunday shows IME, so might have arranged the seating to include more seats, people might not show up for their reserved tickets. We have to be there by 2.30 to claim ours.

Hmm, I shouldn't be surprised at them being gone - I meant to sort them, but then wasn't sure what we were up to this weekend.
The phone message says they have brunch and music in the cafe from 1, so it might count as an outing even if we don't get into the show. Is the cafe nice?
If we make it, we're a tall 30s man, avg height 30s woman with shavedish head and American accent, a three-year-old blond boy and a baby.

The cafe is good for toddlers - lots of running around space indoors and an enclosed garden outside. There's usually a few toys and sunday papers scattered around, too. The food can be great, but the management of the cafe seems to change a lot. I haven't been for the last few months, so not sure what to expect. There is a small, but good playground about 5 minutes walk away and just in case you need to shop for food, there are shops open on Deptford High Street. HTH
I'll look out for you!

I'm now thinking we might not make it ... the boys are off at the park, and we're talking about the local Vietnamese for lunch. We'll have to go another Sunday but book tix in advance (for a different show, obviously).
Thanks for letting us know it was all booked up, tigermoth. I don't think I fancy dealing with a three-year-old wanting to go see a play and being denyed! He shouted at some big kids in the park yesterday for not letting him win a footrace. (And got told off for that, obviously)

really good fun - well acted, great story, but the place was full up. There was a sudden surge of people at the box office just before the show began, queueing for returned tickets, I guess. I don't know if everyone got in.
It was a lovely sunny afternoon, wasn't it, esepcially after the cold morning. Hope you had a good time at the park.
