Holiday dilemma

We're off on a 4 day break to Tenerife in February. I feel that might be a bit too short even though we have an early flight out and late one back. I can extend it to 5 nights for the same price but in a slightly lower standard of accommodation (flight times the same). Shall I stick with the 4 nights in the nicer apartment or get an extra night in a more basic one?

Good choice. The 'nicer' apartment doesn't sound any better, just bigger but seeing as there's only 2 of you, a one bed, one bath place is enough, surely?

Wine and chocolates in Tenerife will cost about 5 or 10 euro tops.

For 2 of you you don’t need 2 bathrooms!

Depends how much you would use the garden and sun beds

And you are feeling that 4 nights is a bit short… It doesn’t sound as if the smaller room is worse in terms of bed comfort etc, just less space.

Personally I never spend much time in the accommodation on holiday, I go for the country, the beach, the sightseeing etc, not the hotel room.

This exactly

we like a lovely place but mostly spend time out and about - not sure I would get much use of garden in February ?

now I’m an old(er) lady 😂 if I go anywhere involving airports I prefer 5-7 days for a short break (getting to hate airports !)
anyboffets for a week in the place you have actually booked - that would definitely make the difference worthwhile
