Suggestions for quirky things to do in York
maybe cafes, exhibitions, places to stay etc

Came back to say thank you for suggestions.
walking the walls was so good, would never of thought of that before, also to whoever said about the museum of Japanese art … thank you! That was so inspiring and the food in the cafe there was delicious!
Walking around Shambles and surrounding areas took up a lot longer than anticipated, I didn’t realise how much there was to see. Not into HP but that didn’t matter at all.
The Minster , beautiful.
lots of green areas to sit and ponder .
Too many cafes to mention but everyone of them was welcoming.
Above all I’ll take away from the trip , other than a bit of confidence, is how really friendly folk are there!
