How to make room darker on holiday help!

We have arrived on holiday and I have forgotten our black out blind to stick on the window. Our caravan was so hot and bright and our 7 month old would not sleep until 9pm and then awake at 4am. Our 5 year old struggled too. What can we use temporarily to stick on the windows? Bin bags? Tinfoil? We are in a private caravan so don't want anything that could damage or leave marks. We are off to Tesco today. I have already checked Facebook market place and no luck! Thank you xx

Is there a Sainsbury’s with Argos nearby?

Amazon to a nearby locker or arrange with reception to take delivery?

Tinfoil stuck on with water spray - you get the window wet and that adheres the foil to the window. Well that’s the theory, I had to use sticky tape in a few places to support it (all I had to hand was micropore which I suppose had the benefit of not being too sticky)

The Argos or Asda ‘blackout blind on suckers’ is a more reusable and less hit and miss suggestion.

I have used tinfoil with water many times before, excellent blackout and reflects the heat. However last time I used it it left residue on the window which took ages to scrub off so maybe skip it, or tape to window frame or trap in closed window instead of using water to stick it on

We used to tape thick black bags over caravan windows when the dc were small, worked a treat! Just be really careful when removing the sellotape at the end.

If there is a curtain rail you could hang a towel or sheet over it until you can find a better alternative

Ask tesco if they have some cardboard and put that up at windows.

Or the caravan site might have some.

I have used tin foil in the past but you need to be very careful if it's hot as the heat can get trapped between the foil and window and cause it to crack.

That sounds really unbearable! I once went to St Petersburg during the white nights season. The flat we stayed in only had gauzy curtains. The windows were massive, we just had to go with it, but no children were involved so it was more manageable. Hope you find a solution.
