Rome hotel recommendations

Can anyone offer any advice on a nice hotel for 3 nights in Rome this August please?
We currently have the following list:
Dimora Copelle
U Visionary Roma
Hotel Indigo Rome - St. George
H10 Palazzo Galla
Raddison Roma Antica

Can anyone offer any info on these? Or do you have any other suggestions please? Looking at around £900 for 3 nights.
I'm hoping some Rome experts on here will be able to help me make an actual decision!
Thanks!

I was going to say Albergo del Senato, which is right next to the Pantheon. It's not fancy, but is well run and a great location.
I love Rome, and have been there many times, but I definitely wouldn't go in August, as it will be way too hot.

But, if you insist on August, 1) don't stay in a chain hotel, eg Radisson, as you could be anywhere, 2) avoid the area around the railway station and 3) stay as centrally as you possibly can - this means that you can walk everywhere and are not wasting time schlepping in from way out of town.
Be aware that hotel rooms in Rome are generally on the small side, so you might want to scale up from your normal choice of room.
Your budget might need a bit of an uplift, too!

And, as August is only next month, you need to be booking the major sights (Colosseum, Vatican Museum, Borghese Gallery) ASAP, as they will very booking up fast. If you're only going for 3 nights, you certainly won't have time to see eve, so be selective.

Thanks so much for this.
Yes, August is already booked. I'm aware it won't be pleasant in that heat 🥵.
Yes, we've got to get some things booked this week! Do you have any suggestions for narrowing down the sites to see at all?!
Good point about a hotel chain...

We stayed here, it was very nice and had a rooftop terrace with an amazing view. Rooms we quite small though.

Can you do Palazzo Galla for that price? If so, I'd go with that (not that I know the others!) Great location - 10 mins to the right to the Coliseum, 10 mins to the left to the Trevi fountain. The roof terrace is lovely.

Yes, just under £1000 with breakfast and free cancellation! Sounds like I'm getting a good deal then!

DD and I stayed near the train station last year, it was a good location for a few nights (although station areas are notoriously dodgy Rome Termini isn’t). The Mercato Centrale there was great. Our accommodation was more guesthouse as it was very budget driven but I just wanted to reassure you about location.

Following as I’m planning a trip to Rome in September with my 20yo dd. I’m looking at Fortyfive squared hotel which is cheaper than you’re looking at.

Does anyone know this one? Also interested to know of things to do that dd and I would both enjoy.

Sorry to highjack your thread op 🙈
