We've left it late to book somewhere this year and like the idea of Provence for scenery and beaches. Flights still look reasonable. I know it'll be very busy but any recommendations for areas/specific beaches that are nice and might not be properly heaving?

Can I claim my prize for suggesting Corsica? 😆 glad you found something that works. I have mentally allocated S of France to the May half term or without kids category, just too crazy in summer.

Actually I would love any tips for Corsica with teens as we are eyeing it up for next summer. We have young teens who like a bit of beach/pool time but also need Stuff To Do …

Yes thanks for reminding me of it! We went to https://www.yellohvillage.co.uk/camping/le_campoloro for a couple of years running when the kids were younger. On it's own beach with a few pools and waterslides, beachfront restaurant and lovely onsite bakery. The chalets on the beach are brilliant and away from the pools so very quiet. Our (then) early teens absolutely loved it. Let me know if anyone interested as I have lots more intel!

We also had a few days near Porto Vecchio and ended up going to Palombaggia a few times but it was very busy (in late August). We're right down below Figari this time so hopefully find some quieter spots.

Oh thank you! That looks great. Yes I think we would try to go in July so hopefully a bit less heaving than August.

If you do want to do Campoloro the booking opens in November and the beach challets go very quickly for anything in school hols. As in within an hour or so. Sign up to their updates and they'll let you know what day/time they release them.
