Eurocamp Holidays

Thinking of going on a eurocamp holiday this year, potentially France or Spain. Our children are 2.5 and 1yrs old can anyone recommend a particular site close to an airport with lots of toddler friendly activities? Ideally on/next to a beach as toddler is beach obsessed! Thanks

Club Farret or Siblu La Carabasse in Vias Plage. Close to Beziers.

It might be worth considering Les Mouettes. It’s literally a 20 min drive from Roscoff ferry terminal, so really easy to go by car. It means you don’t have to do the whole airport faff with young dc, and you can load up the car with as much baby stuff and self-catering supplies as you want. It also means that you’ll have your car for days out and supermarket trips. The campsite has direct beach access, an indoor tropical swimming complex, and a ‘baby club’ area for children under 5.

Definitely ask on the Facebook group that @Attictroll mentions - there’s lots of knowledge on there. Quite a lot of sites are near to Beziers airport and don’t need a car, further south La Chapelle gets mentioned a lot but that’s a longer transfer from either Perpignan or Girona airports.

Thanks everyone! I don’t have FB so won’t be able to ask there but appreciate your suggestions so far. @Forgottenmyphone i am dreading the airport faff with them but we live a good 5hrs away from the ferry plus the journey I think it’d be too much. My mum did suggest getting a hotel for a day or two before the crossing so it breaks it up more but I think it’s too long.

The Eurocamp website has really useful filters on their search function.

We’ve only driven but Cala Gogo on the Costa Brava is on my list and might fit the bill

Might also we worth thinking about the overnight ferry. We do Portsmouth - St Malo and so opens up the west coast in easy reach. It is a more expensive ferry crossing though.

OP, you’re not thinking of hiring a car when you’re there?

What about the self catering aspect or are you going to eat out ( nearest town or on site ) every day?

Not been to EuroCamp brand but have been to some Yelloh! ones when children were younger - stayed in a cabin not a tent though - was quite cramped and beds very small - in partiucular at the one near Biarritz - but it was fun and safe and suited us at the time.
