Anyone have any experience flying with them? Looking to fly to the US in the autumn and they come out cheaper. Thank you for any help 🙂

I have not flown with them but I did book to fly to NY with them last year. I booked in Nov for April flight, they cancelled the flight and refunded in March It then cost s FORTUNE to rebook with another airline. Obviously this may have been bad luck and a one off but I thought it was relevant so should let you know - I am not sure if there is a way to check if they have done this a lot.

Thank you. That's a pain. Yes we are looking to go to New York in the October half term. Not sure I want to risk a last minute cancellation 😞

I'm sure I read recently that they're looking to sell their operation and/or restructure. That wouldn't fill me with confidence. I'd find another airline if I were you.

SnowFrogJelly · 02/06/2026 11:12

Oh dear.. I’m booked to fly with them in October

Clearinguptheclutter · 02/06/2026 11:16

They’re cheaper because they are very likely to go under this year

they have cancelled loads of routes already and I’ve heard loads of stories of people being abandoned in Orlando/LA wherever

I’d definitely avoid

if the flights actually operate I think they are fine

DancingQueen2018 · 02/06/2026 11:48

I flew to South Africa with them over Easter - premium was (substantially) cheaper than any other airline. The flight itself was no different- only 1 meal but we took our own food and drink onboard. I’d happily fly with them again.

MintyPig1989 · 02/06/2026 12:00

Also their strict luggage allowance makes me think it won't end up any cheaper than say BA once you factor that in😕

I meant to say premium was cheaper than any other airlines economy!

pinotnow · 02/06/2026 12:31

I'm sorry to read this as I came on to sing their praises after flying to NYC with them last year. As a nervous flyer I track flights a lot leading up to any flights I take and there were no cancellations that I saw. However, it now seems they are in rea trouble so not worth the risk.

partystress · 02/06/2026 13:20

It will be a shame if they go under. I have flown to DC and NY with them. The NY flights were a replacement for booked BA flights that were cancelled, and booked JetBlue flights that were moved from LGW to LHR. The food onboard was shockingly bad and there is no online check-in, but otherwise they were as good as any other airline, and much cheaper.

MintyPig1989 · 02/06/2026 17:12

I'm reading too many negative reviews on Reddit etc but I can't believe how much the prices have gone up since the war 😞 Might postpone it til next year but teen will be preparing for mocks so going during the holidays will be expensive anyway. I don't know what to do 😞

I know people who have flown with them UK>US and said they were fine....however those people knew what to expect i.e. it's a low fare model, which is fine as long as your expectations are at that level

However.... Like a few other posters I've also heard the rumours doing the rounds about how well they are doing and what might be coming, but TBF those rumours have been doing the rounds for many months plus plus and yet they are still here....

Problem right now though is the fuel price is really going to stress test many airlines over the next few months so who knows how Norse will get on...I really wouldn't like to hazard a guess.

Usual advice I guess: pay with a credit card and make sure the travel insurance is pretty comprehensive.

I flew to Vegas with them in 2025 and had a good experience with them. They stopped flying to Vegas shortly after that for some reason.

MsAdoraBelleDearheartVonLipwig · 02/06/2026 20:45

We flew to Orlando with them last year and they were fine. We didn’t bother to pay to prebook seats but got allocated seats together going out and coming back. It’s a budget airline, you get what you pay for but it was perfectly doable. We took our own food as we’d heard theirs wasn’t great so can’t comment on that. The flights were on time, the planes were clean and the staff were friendly. Perfectly good enough, I’d rather save my spends for the holiday.

Coconutter24 · 02/06/2026 21:08

We were booked to fly to Orlando with them in January, 6 days before we were due to fly they emailed to say the flight was cancelled so we had to quickly find alternative flights with BA. Wouldn’t recommend Norse

faithfultoGeorgeMichael · 02/06/2026 21:49

set an alert for the BA and Virgin sales, they have some great deals when they pop up

Catnuzzle · 02/06/2026 21:52

We flew to Orlando with them last July. 4.5 hour delay meant our hire car place was closed on arrival and we had to wait 7 hours overnight in the airport. (We're not seasoned travellers). Refused to compensate us as per the rules. Currently taking them to small claims court.
