We are looking at booking our holiday for next summer. We are thinking Bella Italia Eurocamp in lake Garda.
Has anyone been her with tween kids? Is there enough to do? We normally do spain but would like to try something different. Kids will be 11 and 12 and love water, swimming and the sea!

I stayed there as a tween, one of my favourite childhood holidays. There was loads to do on site, plus nearby Gardaland and water park, and we hired pedalos on the lake.

Just been to Camp Butterfly (CB) with Eurocamp for the 2nd time which is in Peschiera Del Garda (and a 20 min walk from station) 2 mins to lake, there are loads of Eurocamps in that area inc. the one mentioned. As others have said, swimming in the lake, pedaloes etc, are fun, and the camps generally have good swimming pools, gardaland etc. The shops on site are fine (much dearer than local supermarkets tho) the atmosphere for teens is generally fine, a bit lacking off season, the accom is a bit basic but it is cheap enough (the linen packs are a bit of a stinger, but you can take your own if you wish). No TV (or if there was one I did not notice it, no free wifi (you can pay, but an e-SIM or roaming would be cheaper) You need swim hats, you need Deet (or similar) and they do have washing machines on site, 4 euro for a big wash, so very helpful (they also have a drier rack at the caravan). The recycling policies are a quite precise (1 hour a day at CB, and monitored), and they do stick to check in check out times quite zealously (although you can leave cases, and go to the pool). It was safe - security on entry checking you had "the wristband". Plenty of places to eat out. Eurocamp staff were nice. The local buses are rammed, and ubers some of the most expensive I have ever encountered (about £10 per mile) - so factor this in if you think you are going to knock about in ubers or taxis, You can always get an uber quote online if you think this is going to be a thing. Some nice ferry trips, reasonably priced, but will be similarly rammed in the summer. Hope this helps x

We went to BellaItalia last year & it was great. My kids are a lot younger but I think there would be enough for tweens to do.
We booked a package through Jet2 & got a 2 bed apartment rather than a caravan & it was great. I think the location of BellaItalia is impossible to beat compared to other eurocamps in the area

Really fab holiday and lots to do. We did have a car though. There is the cable car which is good. The lake and the villages around it are amazing and just pottering between them with swims in between was a fab day. Many places around had paddle boarding as well which might be fun. Ds did a day's sailing at the north end of the lake and it was great. Ds said it was one of his favourite trips, the pizza and icecream helped!!!
